Trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park

Ever since my shoot with Molly the weather in Maine has been cool, cloudy, and rainy.  This long stretch of grey, foggy skies has been depressing, to say the least, and this summer is already being compared to the summer of 2010.  That summer was also cold and rainy.  I keep crossing my fingers and hoping that surely this is just a little phase that the weather needs to get out of its system.

To be honest, I was a little bummed when I looked at the weather before my trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia and saw more clouds.  But the good friends that came along with us perked my spirits, and I realized, when we went to the top of Cadillac and visited Sand Beach, that the fog was ridiculously picturesque.  It was almost better than a blue sky and sunny day.

Almost better, because the heat of a sunny summer day would win hands down over over any cool-looking foggy day, but I’ve got to take what’s been given to me.

I feel so lucky to live so close to such a gorgeous national park!
