Top Wedding Photojournalist in 2021

I limit the award competitions I compete in these days, but for years I've continued to submit to WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) because I love how their major competition only allows photos that are unstaged and candid. This is my bread and butter as a documentary wedding photographer! People are always more interesting when left to their own devices, and I love showing my couples how captivating they, their friends, and their families are!

Here are the photos that won awards this year. I placed 21st amongst all the worldwide photographers that compete in WPJA, and 9th in the US, which is pretty rad!

These photos are from Lizzie and PJ's Blue Hill Maine wedding, Molly and Levi's Acadia National Park Elopement, Laura and Ethan's Bar Harbor wedding, Chloe and Will's MDI wedding, Julie and Scott's Marianmade Farm wedding, and Kelley and Mike's Bar Harbor intimate wedding.

And, if you want to see more of my WPJA winners, check out the following roundups for 2019 weddings and 2018 weddings. Enjoy! And if you're weathering this storm that Maine is getting right now.. stay warm.
