Two days prior to their wedding, I met these two for their Portland Maine engagement session. The pair had never visited Portland before, so it was fun to wander around the city with them and explore the many iconic aspects of the Old Port. We met for drinks to get to know one another at one of my favorite bars, the Portland Hunt & Alpine Club, then began our session at the Portland City Hall. I had never photographed there before, so I was in for a treat- the interior is beautiful, as well is the light that filters in through the large windows. We wandered to Wharf St., which is a famous cobblestone street that is very photogenic, and concluded on the Portland waterfront, by the wharf. There's so much to explore in Portland and the Old Port- the only thing to keep in mind is that Portland is quite busy, especially from May through October, so sessions that take place downtown will require some stealthy maneuvering in order to try and avoid random people in your photos.
