Diana once told me that she and Mike did everything a bit backwards- they had their children first (ranging from 8th grade to diapers!), then began a homestead, and finally decided to get married. At first, Diana wanted a smaller affair, but Mike pushed for a bigger wedding, wanting to create a special memory for their kids that would celebrate their family and their love for each other, and obviously Mike's vision won out. As Diana and Mike got ready for their wedding day their kids milled about, playing, sometimes needing attention from mom and dad, and often watching in awe at their parents' transformations, and Diana and Mike, despite having their hands full with preparing before the ceremony, parented beautifully and gave their attention to their children when needed.
Diana and Mike's wedding was mostly beautiful due to the emotional connection they unabashedly shared with each other, their kids, and their friends and family, but their vendor team helped enhance the magic. In particular, Paula and Courtney of A Family Affair of Maine transformed their ceremony and reception space into an elegant flower-filled oasis, Emily of Emily Carter Floral Designs designed romantic and sweet centerpieces and bouquets that had Diana squealing with joy, and Pete Kilpatrick and Dave Dionne provided excellent music that set the tone of the day and evening. And, last but not least, Jessica, the event coordinator at Point Lookout, was flawless as always, assisting where needed to ensure Diana and Mike's wedding came together perfectly.
Thank you for making me feel like part of the family, Diana and Mike- I felt so honored to get to know your family. Here are some of my favorite photos from your wedding day!
