Point Lookout Maine Wedding | Annie & Steve

One of the reasons why Annie and Steve chose Point Lookout in Northport, Maine (relatively close to Lincolnville and Camden) was because of its breathtaking, quintessential ocean views.  Unfortunately, the couple was graced with torrential rain that failed to let up over the course of the day, which I chose to look at as good luck for their future-- might as well focus on the positives!  Despite the rain, everyone was in wonderful spirits and their wedding was absolutely gorgeous, bright (you'll see what I mean) and filled with personality.

Below are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding day.  By the way, this first photo from their ceremony is a new favorite of mine-- I may need to purchase a canvas gallery wrap of it for my office wall!

PS-- if you can't tell from the photo below, the rings are from Tiffany.  I love a couple with good taste!

It took a little while for Annie's mom and her maid of honor to put on her wedding dress.  I've found that most brides underestimate how long it takes to get dressed, so it's always good to pad your schedule just in case there's a snafu with trying to figure out how to lace up the dress.  Annie and her maid of honor, Jess, are both engineers, and Annie kept saying things like, "how many engineers does it take to put on the dress?  How many engineers does it take to put on a veil?"  Eventually, they succeeded, as engineers typically do!

I was told that it took the flower girl longer to find the perfect dress than it took Annie. :)

I am in love with this veil-- it's ever so romantic and sweet.

While I was photographing the girls, my second photographer, Tammie, captured a few photos with Steve and his family and friends as they prepared for the wedding.

The ceremony was gorgeous and accented by perfect flowers by Sara Scollay.

It was too rainy to photograph portraits outdoors, so we stayed inside.  Luckily, the getting ready room at Point Lookout was the perfect place to do a few portraits-- I love it's rustic, bookish atmosphere!

Annie and Steve broke out into one of the best first dances I've ever seen.  Annie claimed later she talked Steve through the entire dance, but you can't tell in this photo!

Annie and Steve chose blue and orange for their wedding colors to pay homage to the Chicago Bears.  I'm sold on their bold palette-- it felt classy while still exuding personality and fun.

This cake was, in short, a masterpiece by ConfectionArt.  Annie and Steve shared a few things that they love, and was presented with this stunning (and fun!) cake.

And the rest of the night was spent dancing to music spun by Rob Riccitelli, who kept the dance floor hopping all night.

A final shout out is in order for Josh Swan of Media Northeast.  I always love finding great videographers to work with who are respectful.  Josh was great and we both worked hard to avoid being in each other's shots/footage, yet still get the shots/footage that we needed.  He's one of the videographers that I consistently refer my couples to for excellent wedding coverage!

Thank you, Annie and Steve, for allowing me to capture your wedding day!  I hope Bora Bora is amazing (and restful!)
