Excuses

It’s been awhile since my last post.  I blame it on the dismal half winter/half spring look that’s going on in Maine right now.  The warm weather has almost melted all the snow, but it still persists in patches.  It makes it impossible to shoot attractive landscapes, and I’ve been postponing most of my future shoots until the snow completely melts.  And, although I’ve still been taking photographs, I’ve withheld several photos for the haiku contest.

Next week, however, is supposed to be in the 60s (the 60s!  I’m not sure if I’ve ever been so excited for spring in my life!) and the snow should all melt.  And with the several photo sessions that will be happening over the next few weeks, along with the finishing up of photographing for the haiku contest, this blog will be a little more lively.  I promise!  Cross my heart and all that jazz.

With that said, let me leave you with a photo I took last week.  As I’ve been patiently waiting for the ground and the trees to green, I’ve been focusing on macro photography.  And this plant (whose name I do not know) seemed like a good subject.
