A couple of weeks ago, winter was starting to recede throughout the state of Maine, but in western Maine (Otisfield, to be precise) the snow was refusing to melt, which made for the perfect backdrop for Kristin and Dave's winter wedding at Moose Lake Ranch in Otisfield, Maine. I joined the two of them and their families as they lit candles, prepared the living room for the ceremony, and ultimately all joined together as Kristin and Dave said I do. After portraits and cocktail hour, they celebrated with a first dance, and ended the evening with dinner as dusk slowly changed to night.
As you'll see, we had beautiful, snowy expanses, a big blue sky, and stunning light both inside the ranch and outside on the property, and it was such a pleasure to photograph Kristin and Dave against these backdrops as they spent time with their favorite people. I'm so fond of estate weddings because they allow your closest friends and family to stay with you during your wedding weekend, and celebrating your love for them can be just as exciting as celebrating your own union.
