Lauren, according to her father, had dreamed about having her wedding at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church since she was a small child, so on July 19th she made her wish into reality and married Hunter in that very spot. A reception followed immediately after at the breathtaking Colony Hotel, where delicious food and drink was consumed and dancing was intense and passionate… but I’ll share more below!
Lauren got ready amongst family and friends.
Loved seeing Lauren’s father’s reaction when he saw her in her wedding dress!
We stopped to take a few photos in Kennebunk on our way to the church– what a gorgeous view, right? The wedding party wasn’t too bad themselves! ;)
Meanwhile, Hunter and his groomsmen were getting ready at the Colony Hotel, which was photographed by Tammie.
Eventually, it was time for the ceremony, located at St. Ann’s in Kennebunkport.
After a sweet ceremony, which included singing of “America The Beautiful” to honor Hunter and many of his family member’s service, we took some quick portraits and jetted back to the Colony for cocktail hour!
Lauren collected ginger jars so she could have enough for her centerpieces. They were gorgeous!
The reception officially began with Lauren and Hunter’s first dance, followed by speeches and adorable parent dances.
The dance floor was kept alive by Red Hook Orchestra who hail from Brooklyn! These guys certainly knew how to get people out of their chairs and onto the dance floor!
A special shout out goes out to Justin Joslin Wedding Films— he was great to work with and I’m looking forward to seeing the upcoming film!
Thanks, Lauren and Hunter, for having me document your day! It was an honor (and a lot of fun)!
