Exciting news, everyone– I just purchased a new camera– the Canon 5D Mark II.  Now, photographers like to say that it’s all about the person behind the camera and not about the equipment, and while that’s largely true, it’s a fact that better equipment, when paired with a photographer who has the skill to use it to its maximum potential, creates better photographs.  I needed a camera that would fare better for low light ceremonies and receptions, and so I finally decided to upgrade to the industry-standard Mark II.  And boy, it’s a wonderful camera.  Needless to say I’m in love.

I had to go right out and test it, so I contacted Bria, who I’ve previously done a fashion shoot with in a University of Maine greenhouse.  Luckily she was available, so we went out to play in the Bangor city forest while I got to know my new camera.  Thanks, Bria, for being such a lovely model!  I always love catching up with you.
