Maine Winter Engagement Portraits | Ashley & Edward

So many people try to avoid taking engagement portraits in the winter, but there’s something incredibly cozy about them– not only does it feel incredibly authentic to be snuggling up to your significant other for a little extra body heat, but the cozyness of Maine winter attire just lends itself to sessions that exude warmth and softness.  Thus, I was thrilled when my cousin, Ashley, and her fiance Edward chose to do their engagement session at a Christmas Tree farm (Piper Mountain Christmas Tree Farm to be exact!)  The pair looked incredibly cuddly in sweaters, mittens, and wool, and as I watched the two of them through my lens I was excited that Edward would be joining the family because the way he looked at Ashley (and vice versa!) was heartwarming.

Ashley and Edward are getting married at the amazing French’s Point next year, and– lucky me– I get to attend!  It’s going to feel weird to not be holding a camera, but I’ll get to dance, which would be pretty awesome!

Here are a few of my favorites from Ashley and Edward’s engagement session.  Thanks for letting me document your love!
