I had such a fun time at Meg and Maxime's Kettle Cove engagement session that I really looked forward to their wedding at the John Peters Estate in Blue Hill, a venue that has all sorts of stunning locations for portraits-- there's a dock, a rocky coastline, and overgrown fields. And, the estate has pretty bedrooms to get ready in and to house some of your friends and family for your wedding weekend. What's not to love?
I really want to say more about Meg and Maxime's wedding, which was brought to life by the skill of Megan Lord of Pencil Events, but it will have to wait below. You HAVE to scroll down to see the decor, which features the most amazing tablecloths that, if I were to have another wedding, I would use IN A HEARTBEAT... but I've already said too much. Oops! Loved Meg and Maxime's invitation suite, designed by Rugg Road Paper Company, was clean, classic, and letterpress (which never fails to excite me!)
Makeup and hair was done by Salon Verde, and everyone looked flawless!
Fun fact-- Meg and Maxime have the same initials now, so monogramming will be a breeze! That's a good reason to get married, folks!
Reactions to Meg in her dress were rather happy and ecstatic.
Tammie photographed the guys getting ready. When they realized they didn't have as much of a understanding on tying bowties as they thought they did, they turned to the best resource that they had-- YouTube!
We did their first look, family, and wedding party portraits after the two of them got ready. I love it when couples elect for a first look so they can spend all or the majority of their time at cocktail hour!
Aren't these dresses fabulous? They're Lily Pulitzer-- I love how they're striped and partially see through at the bottom. One of her bridesmaids said mentioned this is the first bridesmaid dress that she would definitely be able to wear again, which is always a plus!
All of the bouquets and centerpieces for the wedding were done by Sweet Pea Gardens, and they were so sweet and elegant... and smelled SO GOOD!

After Meg and Maxime were named husband and wife (congratulations!) the two of them went to enjoy cocktail hour while I photographed their details, set up perfectly by Pencil Events! Don't you LOVE this sailcloth tent, rented from Wallace Rental? These tents are prettier than regular event tents and are definitely worth the extra money for reception photos that look a little more elegant!
Seriously... aren't the tablecloths amazing? I love the ginger jars mixed with silver vases!
The cake was by Janice Strout of Celebration Cakes and was, like the rest of the wedding aesthetic, clean and classic.
Speeches occured after dinner and resulted in laughter and a few wiped away tears.
Meg and Maxime set aside some time after they finished their dinner so they could complete their portraits right before sunset. The light for portraits is best at this time of day, so it's always great if couples can set aside 10-15 minutes during the reception to spend some time by themselves and to take some really gorgeous portraits!
When we returned, dancing began, fueled by the Atlantic Clarion Band and On the Fly DJ Services!
