Camp Mataponi Southern Maine Wedding Photography | Sara & Arthur

Shortly after I arrived at Camp Mataponi to cover Sara and Arthur’s wedding day, while Sara was running around (with her hair in rollers!) making sure every last detail was perfect, Arthur surprised her with a card.  After opening it and carefully scanning it, she began to laugh and cry, and said, over and over, while hugging various family member, “I’m going to Tahiti!  But I packed for the Mediterranean!”  Arthur had secretly planned the perfect honeymoon and had completely mislead his wife-to-be, and her tears of joy, which were shared by those around her, made me realize that this day was going to be spectacular.

Everything was wonderful– the music, the details (of which there were many!), the gorgeous flowers, but perhaps most of all, Sara and Arthur’s adorable corgi Pickle, who photobombed as many photos as he could (as you’ll see below).

Special props must be given to Greg Young of Northeast Event Design, who was an incredible DJ.  The purple uplighting looked gorgeous and his DJing was hip and never corny or ridiculous.  You should definitely check him out if you’re currently looking for excellent music at your wedding or event!

Below are a few of my favorite photos from the wedding (along with a few other stories).  Sara and Arthur, have fun in Tahiti!  I can’t wait for our coastal post-wedding session once you return!

Sara did a boudoir session with the fabulous Tess J Photography (one of the best boudoir photographers in the state!) and surprised Arthur with an album.  He thoroughly enjoyed it, to say the least.

He also received these socks, which he later showed off while he was dancing.

Pickle had to be the center of attention even though his parents were trying to get married.  Sheesh.

These two sang the Book of Love and had me in tears, which is hard to do (I’m usually too focused on what I’m doing to cry).  You two were awesome!

One of the reasons why investing in a collection with a second shooter is so awesome is because it provides for the ability to get the same moment from two different angles.  One is a little more romantic, the second… rather funny.
