April showers bring May flowers

Spring really affected me this year for a few reasons.  First, our winter was terrible; it was cold, snowy, and unbearably long.  Second, I discovered how much snowy landscapes began to bore me.  I longed for color, grass, and flip-flop weather.  I found myself thinking on more than one occasion, in the same vein as my friend Sammy, “that’s it, I’m moving to Fiji!”  Yes, it was a terrible winter.

And because of that terrible winter, I’ve found myself hyperaware of the new spring growth.  It’s like a breath of fresh air to have something new to photograph.  And so, now, I present you with several of the flower photos I’ve taken over the past month.
